Strip the ends off of the wires, and crimp on ring or spade terminals if desired. Next, locate the AC input terminals on the power supply. Install the wires per the colors below. Green is ground, black is hot (or "line") and white is neutral. Next up, you'll need to connect DC power to the G540 using your 18 AWG or larger cable.

A G540 with a red FAULT LED lit will absolutely not run! Solder your motor leads into the solder cup connectors according to the manual. Connect your motors to the G540 by screwing the DB9 motor connector into the mating half located on the G540 itself. Connect one axis at a time and verify you have a green light after each axis has been attached.

Evaluate the G540 for a problem. Determine on which axis this problem emanates. Diagnose the damaged G250XR3 to see what kind of damage is present. Replace that axis with a known good G250XR3. Reassemble the G540 and test functionality. Re-tune the G540 for optimal low speed smoothness.

2017年1月1日 Setup as follows: Gecko G540 based cnc controller with 4 axis control box from deepgroove1, 270oz nema 23 motors, warp 9 ethernet smooth stepper, and P2-S USB mpg pendant. I can get the computer to talk to the ESS stepper, but not to the gecko if I open the file that has everything setup for the gecko, then it won't talk to the ESS.
